Mr. R Bowlin 2023 teaching since 1977

Geocties started in 1994 and in 1997 geocities.com/randolphbowlin was launched at Silicon Valley while I was at G.H.S.  following the death of my mother May 6, 1997 then in 1999 yahoo bought geocities.   However On April 23, 2009, Yahoo! announced that it would be closing its United States branch of GeoCities, and stopped accepting new registrations, though the existing GeoCities accounts remained active. In late June 2009, Yahoo! updated the GeoCities home page to indicate: "GeoCities is closing on October 26, 2009." Then to the rescue came Reocities For all the jokes made at the expense of Geocities – and there are quite a few, including the hilarious Geocitiesizer – the fact is that for quite a long time it was the place for amateur web enthusiasts to build their own website. Most of the content may have been crap, but the fact is that some very useful information was hosted there. This is why, for all the people who said “Good Riddance” when Yahoo shut down Geocities, the Internet was really worse off for the closure. A tremendous amount of information on a variety of topics was ripped from the web overnight.Or it would have been, if not for mirror project Reocities. This site backed up as much as they could possibly manage, and are accepting further contributions from anyone who might have small pieces backed up.  So  reocities.com/randolphbowlin  temporarily filled the gap followed by yet another GeoCities mirror:  geocities.ws/randolphbowlin Around 2004 I began diversification with other web hosts producing (hilton.yolasite.com) and others which all pre dated Astra and Kyra.
